 Building Permit Department

The Building Department processes all permits for construction in the City of Lake Helen with the exception of wells, septic systems and irrigation systems.

The Building Officials review all plans to assure they meet the requirements of the Florida Building Code. Field inspections are conducted to make sure structures are being constructed in accordance with approved plans and codes.

Tree Permits and Land Alteration Permits are reviewed by the City Planner.

Commercial Projects will need a development review before a Building Permit Application can be submitted. Please direct Development Review questions to: City Administrator/City Planner, Jason Yarborough : Lake Helen City Hall 386-228-2121.

New Single Family Homes: Please contact Becky Witte at 386-228-2358 or bwitte@lakehelen.com
